Workplace Investigations Dispute Resolution

Put my experience and integrity to work for you.

After over 16 years with the Monterey County Counsel’s Office and over 30 years practicing law, William (Bill) Litt has established a law firm devoted to helping people solve problems in a neutral capacity rather than as an advocate.

Neutral workplace investigations allow an employer to determine what occurred when there are contested allegations by employees concerning potential violation of the law or of the employer’s policies. This prepares the employer to respond to litigation or administrative action, and to take prompt corrective action when appropriate.

Alternative dispute resolution, or “ADR,” as the phrase suggests, includes an array of mechanisms to assist parties in resolving civil disputes short of going to trial. Considering the complexity and expense of modern litigation, ADR allows the parties to resolve conflicts substantially faster and less expensively than prolonged litigation and avoids the uncertainty of trial. Examples of ADR include mediation, arbitration, and early neutral evaluation (“ENE”).
